All schools across the country have had to review their current teaching systems to reflect the times we are living in. In light of Covid-19, if a school is faced with a child, ‘class/year group bubble’ or a local lockdown happening, schools must have in place a system to continue to provide access to learning and teach pupils. This system is known as ‘Distance Learning’.

What happens if my child’s ‘Year Group Bubble’ has to isolate?

Distance Learning will be provided through an online learning platform, using a software programme called Microsoft Teams. However, if you have no access to the Internet or devices then paper based work can be asked for via the school office.

What happens if my child is ‘not sick’, however has to ‘isolate’ as the whole class need to isolate? 

1. If the teacher is ‘not sick’ Distance Learning will be provided through an online learning platform, using a software programme called Microsoft Teams. However, if you have no access to the Internet or devices then paper based work can be asked for via the school office
2.  If the teacher is ‘sick’ your child will have access to online learning packs or printed copies from the office
